You reach us by WhatsApp, email or the form on this page and tell us, in plain words, what has happened and where you are. A lawyer reads it and replies with what we need to see next. Writing to us commits you to nothing, and what you send is treated as confidential.

Ways to reach us
The desk is attended Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00, Istanbul time. Messages arriving outside those hours are picked up the next working day — with one exception: if someone has been detained or arrested, say so in your first line and it is treated as urgent whatever the hour.
WhatsApp — fastest
The quickest way in, and the easiest way to send us a photograph of whatever you were handed — the decision, the tapu, the summons. +90 544 809 1942, day and night.
Phone
Call +90 544 809 1942 and ask for the English-speaking desk. If nobody answers we are in a hearing — WhatsApp still gets through.
Send the background and the documents to info@istanbulattorneys.com. Most enquiries are answered the same working day. Heavy files take longer, because we read them before we reply.
Office
Gürsel Mah. Karataş Sk. SNS Plaza Kat:3 No:6, Kağıthane / İstanbul, Türkiye. Visits by appointment. Most of our clients live abroad and never set foot in the office.
Hours
Detentions, airport holds and İcra deadlines do not wait, so someone answers at night and at weekends. Everything else runs Monday to Friday. A file can be handled from start to finish on a notarised Power of Attorney, without you flying over.
Before the firm takes any matter, we check that we are free to act — that no current or former client of the firm stands on the other side of yours. If a conflict appears, we tell you plainly and go no further, and what you have already sent us stays confidential.
If we can act, you receive a written engagement letter setting out what the matter covers, which attorney is responsible for it, and — just as importantly — what falls outside the scope. You see the boundaries of the work in writing, and nothing begins until both sides have signed.
Acting for you before Turkish courts, land registries and other authorities requires a notarised power of attorney — the vekâletname. We send you the exact wording and plain instructions for the nearest notary or Turkish consulate; most clients complete this where they live, without travelling to Türkiye.
With the engagement letter signed and the power of attorney in hand, the file opens and the first procedural steps are taken. You are told at the outset which steps come first and when you should next expect to hear from us.
As the matter moves, you receive written updates in English — filings made, hearing dates, decisions received — together with copies of what has been filed in your name. Questions between updates go directly to the attorney handling your file.
Questions before you sign anything?
Ask them first. Every file at this firm starts with the steps above — if any of them is unclear, write to us and we will explain it in plain English before you commit to anything.
Prefer to talk now?
Not sure what kind of case this is?
You do not have to work out the category first. One line on WhatsApp will do — “my residence permit was refused” or “I have been told to leave Turkey” — and a lawyer picks it up from there. We take immigration and work-permit work under Law 6458 and Law 6735, property purchases and tapu checks, company matters and urgent criminal defense. Most of it can be run from Istanbul on a notarised Power of Attorney while you stay where you are.
Early is cheaper than late
A deportation decision must be challenged within 7 days. A tapu problem is far harder to fix once the money has moved. If it is already worrying you, write today.
